Educational Funding

The Roswell Woman’s Club continues its long time support of education in the community.  In 2007, the Roswell Woman’s Club distributed scholarships and educational grants benefiting students in our community. Scholarships were awarded to fifty graduating high school seniors to help further their education. The awards were based on financial need, outstanding academic records and community service.

Several cluster grants were awarded in 2007:

  • Teaching Museum North/Chattahoochie Nature Center to provide every third grader in Roswell public schools the wetland/pond study ecology workshops
  • Roswell High School for the Hornet Advisory Program to facilitate 9th graders’ transition to high school
  • Independence High School to support an onsite daycare center for students

The following non-profit organizations received assistance with their educational projects: The Cottage School, Summer camp “Project Work” to build job skills for children with learning differences; North Fulton Child Development Association, Scholarships for teachers to become certified to teach “at risk” preschool children.
