Volunteers for the Roswell Woman’s Club 2012 Showcase Home

You can sign up online to volunteer for shifts at the 2012 Showcase Home Event.

To sign up online you will need to:

  1. Be able to work a shift or shifts during the Showcase Home Event

  2. Be familiar with the Roswell Woman’s Club and be able to appropriately represent them as described in the general instructions

  3. Be able to provide your name, e-mail address, phone number, and mailing address

The Showcase Home will be open from Sunday through Saturday April 29, 2012 to May 20, 2012. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Online Signup For Volunteers At the 2012 Showcase Home

Instructions

Beginning April 29, 2012 and ending May 20, 2012, the Showcase Home will be open Sunday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM, and Sunday from 1PM to 6PM. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The volunteer position is for “Hostesses/Hosts” at the Showcase Home.

Note: different days have different shift start and end times.

  1. Decide the day(s) and shift(s) you want to work from the list below

Wednesday through Saturday Shifts:

  • Morning: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Early Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Late Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Sunday Shifts

  • Early Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Late Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

The shifts will be listed as “Morning”, “Early Afternoon” etc. If you do not remember the shift start times, please come back to this page.

Notes on using the sign-up system:

If your internet browser is set to block pop-up ads, you will most likely need to temporarily turn this off. (If you click on a shift to volunteer and no new window is opened, this is probably the cause.)

If the shift that you want is in "Unavailable", please choose another day that the Showcase Home is open.

To reserve a volunteer slot:

  1. Enter the Date that you want to work.

  3. Choose your shift by clicking on the Shift's Name.

  5. A pop-up window will appear. Select the volunteer name that corresponds to the open shift.

  7. Enter your name, phone number and email and any notes about your group.

  9. Enter a password to allow you to change your reservation then click "Reserve".

  11. Click “Ok" then refresh your browser.

  13. See your name on the schedule.

  15. If you want to volunteer for another shift, choose the date and shift and begin again.

(Your name will be the only information to appear on the schedule. The rest of the information will only be available to the volunteer committee for confirming and reminding you of your shifts).

In the sign up window, be sure to enter a password, so that you can change or cancel your selections later.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail message, if you entered a correct e-mail address.

General Volunteer Expectations/Responsibilities

  1. Volunteers are approved by Roswell Woman’s Club.

  2. Volunteers should wear neat, comfortable clothing and flat shoes only (no heels). No commercial, political, or personal advertising should be worn.

  3. Volunteers should always be pleasant and helpful to all patrons.

Showcase Home Hostess/Host Expectations and Responsibilities

  1. When you arrive that the Showcase Home, check in at the volunteer center to receive general instructions or any special instructions.

  2. Be aware of all patrons moving through your area of the home.

  3. Be aware of the furnishings of the area, make sure they are not rearranged or removed.

  4. See the hostess in charge if there are any problems with the furnishings.

  5. See the hostess in charge if there are any other problems or emergencies.

  6. Help the patrons with information about the decorations, furnishings or other features of the Showcase Home.
